What does the Mother Parashakthi expect from an aspirant?

During the initial stages of his spiritual development, Sri Swami had an aversion for what was going on around him. His sole prayer to Mother Goddess was, “Oh Mother! What an assignment destined for me! Make me an instrument in your panacean process of resurrection and as a tool of refinement, generating an aura of nobility among the populace.”

But on the same day, he put up a signboard barring devotees from offering ‘Kanike’. What the Mother expects from her devotees are only the tears of repentance and the sweat of diligence in the pursuit of spiritual fulfillment of the soul. This should be juxtaposed by utmost patience with reverence and total submission, along with a mass prayer for “Universal Resurrection”. All these are the predominant requisites ordained by the Mother and in this way, lot of stress is laid on the above karmas (acts). May be this is the one and only kshetra wherein the literal meaning of ‘kanike’ has become paradoxical.

Nonetheless, the devotees started bringing in the items for the pooja, provisions and vegetables for mass feeding. Everything is kept on an open table. Rice and vegetables are cooked by the volunteers and served to the devotees in the true concept of ‘Saha Bhojana’, creating an ambience of equality in effect. All these point to the nullification of money transaction in the process.
